PATH OF EMBER
Continue gaining corruption, unlock demon abilities, accept increasingly physical transformation and the social cost of becoming what humanity fears.
PROGRESSION · CONSEQUENCE · PERMANENCE
Simple enough to explain. Mean enough to remember.
Named gear keeps its identity. Corruption changes you. Seven Flames add permanent power. Professions reshape what you notice. Death becomes content. Conscription turns players into raid-scale wildcards. Recursion sends the same legend back through the fire.
GEAR
Different named items can look different. The same named item does not visually mutate because its level, stats or enhancement setup changed.
Enhancement slots customize function. Corruption changes the character. Gear art remains fixed.
CORRUPTION
At 40%, choose Ember, Ash, or Shadow. The path changes how you relate to the power; the tier changes how visibly inhuman you become.

Embrace
Continue gaining corruption, unlock demon abilities, accept increasingly physical transformation and the social cost of becoming what humanity fears.

Purify
Purge corruption through painful rituals, preserve humanity and social access, and accept slower power growth in exchange for remaining recognizably human.

Balance
Hold corruption near the dangerous middle, use some demonic power, keep most social access, and live permanently on the edge between human and demon.

DEATH
PvE death costs progress. Permanent monuments convert failure into shared world history and can earn Soul Gems through attention.
Death returns you toward the current stage floor and creates XP debt.
Qualifying deaths leave permanent monuments with contextual mockery.
At 10,000 views, a death monument becomes summonable combat history.
Final moments become clips and cinematic death portraits.
CONSCRIPTION
Every Ashmother raid conscripts a random eligible level 60 from somewhere else on the server.
The chosen player becomes a temporary corrupted raid-boss-scale wildcard who can attack the raid, the Ashmother, both, or neither.
RECURSION
The same character can return to level one with permanent legacy systems intact. Monuments remain. Knowledge remains. The world remembers.
